TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2027
TAIPEI CYCLE, in cooperation with iF International Forum Design — Taiwan
The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards recognize design and innovation in the cycling industry and have been planned and run by iF International Forum Design since 2012. Professionals from across the global bicycle industry can enter, with no limit on the number of entries; products must have launched within the last two years or be scheduled for market release in 2027. The 2027 edition has seven categories: Complete Bicycles; Components; Accessories & Riding Equipment; E-bikes & Specialty Cycles; Smart Cycling & Digital Solutions; Brand, Communication & Experience (brand identity, packaging, product communication, digital and retail experiences); and Concept & Future Innovation, which accepts commissioned projects, design research, prototypes and concepts not yet commercialized. Student projects are not eligible. Entries are judged on idea, form, function, differentiation and sustainability. Special distinctions include the Gold Award (Startup) for startups founded on or after 1 January 2023 and the Gold Award (Green Prize) for outstanding achievement based on the 3R principles. Registration runs until 25 December 2026, products are shipped during December 2026, the jury meets on 13 and 14 January 2027, and results are published on 19 January 2027. Winners are exhibited at TAIPEI CYCLE, 24 to 27 March 2027.

Entry fee
Registration US$80 for TAIPEI CYCLE 2027 exhibitors/TBA members or US$160 for non-exhibitors; winners pay a further US$1,400 (exhibitors/members) or US$2,000 (non-exhibitors). All fees are net per entry plus 5% VAT; Gold Award (Startup) winners are exempt from the winner fee. The registration fee is charged even if the product is not delivered, unless cancelled by email before 25 December 2026.
Award / prize
No cash prize stated: winners receive the award title and logo rights, exhibition at TAIPEI CYCLE 2027, iF platform exposure, and fee-free entry to the iF DESIGN AWARD 2028 with direct advancement to its Final Jury; top entries can earn a Gold Award, Gold Award (Startup) or Gold Award (Green Prize)
Submission format
Online registration only, via the iF registration portal (an Entry-ID is issued for all further communication and deliveries). Categories 01 to 04 require a physical product shipped prepaid (DDP) between 1 and 31 December 2026 to the official logistics partner in Taipei, fully assembled and functional; categories 01 and 04 are self-assembled and self-dismantled by entrants on 12 and 15 January 2027. Categories 05 to 07 may be submitted digitally with a PDF file and a media link (URL).
