The Quiet Tower International Architecture Competition

BuildnerLatvia
Architecture competition visual

The Quiet Tower is an international architecture ideas competition organized by Buildner, inviting architects, designers, students, and enthusiasts worldwide to reimagine an observation tower on the Baltic coastline at Cape Kolka, Latvia. Rather than an iconic landmark, the brief calls for a 'lookout ritual' — a structure emphasizing atmosphere and emotional connection, inspired by fire lookout towers and Nordic retreat culture. The competition is open to all with no professional qualification required, and entries can be submitted individually or by teams of up to four. The €10,000 prize fund includes dedicated Student and Sustainability awards alongside the main placements.
