The International Architecture Awards are presented jointly by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, recognizing the world's most outstanding new buildings, interiors, landscapes, and urban planning projects. The award is open to international architects and firms (including U.S.-based firms submitting international or domestic work), with eligible projects designed or built after January 1, 2024. Categories span more than 15 building types, including airports, bridges, commercial and corporate buildings, hospitals, hotels, offices, residential, retail, schools, religious structures, urban planning, landscape architecture, and restorations; previously awarded projects are ineligible. Winning projects are exhibited internationally and published by the Museum.

No cash prize — winning architects prepare framed drawings or photographic panels and models for exhibition; projects are published on the Museum's website or in a catalogue, with past exhibitions held in cities including London, Brussels, and Istanbul

Online application via chi-athenaeum.org: 10-12 project images (16:9 or 1:1 aspect ratio, 300dpi, max 6MB each), a 500-700 word project description in English, and a single PDF (plans, sections, elevations); file names must use Latin characters only
