Festival des Architectures Vives 2027: Bonheur partagé

The Festival des Architectures Vives places temporary installations by young architecture teams in normally private courtyards of Montpellier's historic centre. The 2027 theme, "Bonheur partagé" (shared happiness), asks how architecture can create places for encounter, relation and sharing, drawing on philosopher Chris Younès's idea of architecture as a common good. At least one team member must hold an architecture diploma (DPLG, DE, HMONP or equivalent); multidisciplinary teams with landscape architects, designers or urbanists are encouraged, and students are not eligible. Applications close on 7 December 2026 at 23:59 French time, selected teams are announced in late December 2026 or early January 2027, and the festival runs from 15 to 20 June 2027.
