Interior/Furniture Design competition visual

The SIT Furniture Design Award recognizes furniture design (dining chairs, armchairs, coffee tables, commercial furniture, outdoor seating, and more) and interior design (residential design, sales office design) work from around the world, including a dedicated Emerging Furniture Designer of the Year category. Prior editions drew hundreds of entries from dozens of countries and were celebrated at galas in Basel and at KKL Luzern, judged by a panel of architects, interior designers, professors, and editors.

Entry fee

CHF 220 (approx. $235) professional / CHF 100 (approx. $110) student per entry before early-bird discounts (10% off until Sept 20, 2026, 5% off until Nov 8, 2026); additional category entries for the same project receive a 50% discount

Award / prize

No standard cash prize for most categories; the Innovation Center category winner receives an unspecified cash prize to help realize a prototype or begin production
