KOKUYO Design Award 2027

KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD is an international product design competition run by KOKUYO Co., Ltd., a major Japanese stationery, office furniture, and workspace-tools manufacturer. Entries are open worldwide to individuals, groups, and corporations for original, previously unpublished designs of stationery, furniture, or tools used in working, learning, and living. The 2027 edition is themed 'dialogue,' accepts entries free of charge, and includes a New Generation Award judged separately from all student submissions (elementary school through graduate level). Submissions opened July 24, 2026 and close at noon JST on October 7, 2026, with results announced March 13, 2027.

Grand Prix (1 winner): ¥2,000,000 (~$13,000); Merit Award (3 winners): ¥500,000 (~$3,200) each; New Generation Award (up to 10 student winners): ¥30,000 (~$200) each. Amounts stated are after applicable Japanese tax withholding.
