Presented by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Umweltbundesamt, the Bundespreis Ecodesign recognizes companies, studios, and researchers whose work combines ecological responsibility with high design quality. The program has run annually since 2012 and includes a dedicated Nachwuchs (newcomer) category for students and recent graduates. The 2026 cycle's application window closed April 2, 2026; official dates for the next cycle had not yet been published as of this research.
