The American Architecture Awards, presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, recognize commercial, corporate, institutional, healthcare, transportation, educational, and residential buildings as well as urban planning projects, across more than 32 categories including specialized areas like energy buildings and restoration work. Eligible submissions must be the work of American architects, landscape architects, or urban planners (including international firms with U.S. offices) for projects built or unbuilt in the U.S., or by U.S. firms working abroad, since 1 January 2025. The submission deadline for the 2027 edition is 1 February 2027. Winning projects are exhibited internationally and published in the Metropolitan Arts Press catalog.
