2027 NKBA Design Competition
National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) — United States
Run by the National Kitchen & Bath Association, the NKBA Design Competition recognizes residential kitchen and bath design. Categories cover large and small kitchens, powder rooms, small and primary baths, plus specialty categories such as laundry rooms, product integration, kitchen and bath wellness, and smart home integration. Entrants must be the Designer of Record (with up to two co-designers), and projects must have been installed between 1 January 2025 and 27 August 2026. Judging runs in two rounds, and winners are recognized at the Design & Industry Awards during KBIS 2027 in Las Vegas.

Members: $175 first project, $150 second, $100 each additional. Non-members: $225 first project, $200 second, $175 each additional
Award / prize
Over $125,000 in cash prizes: $25,000 each for Best Overall Kitchen and Best Overall Bath (plus an additional $25,000 if the designer is NKBA-certified), and $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000 for first, second and third place in each category

Two rounds: Round 1 requires two "wow factor" photos; Round 2 requires up to 10 photos, a 200 to 400 word design statement, and scaled drawings with all identifying information removed
