Bellano Cotton Mill Museum

Buildner — Latvia
Architecture competition visual

Organized by Buildner, the Bellano Cotton Mill Museum competition asks entrants to transform the smaller building of the historic Cantoni Cotton Mill complex in Bellano, on the eastern shore of Lake Como, into a museum and cultural destination. Participants define their own curatorial vision, drawing on industrial heritage, local history, art, contemporary culture or the landscape, and are encouraged to consider links to the town, the lakefront and surrounding public spaces. The competition is open to all, individually or in teams, with no professional qualification required. The client has expressed interest in building the winning project, though construction is not guaranteed. Registration closes on 15 April 2027, projects are due on 24 May 2027, and winners are announced on 6 July 2027.
