AIA Housing Award 2027

The AIA Housing Award, presented by the American Institute of Architects, recognizes excellence in residential design. Categories cover community-engaged design, excellence in affordable housing, mixed-use community connection, multifamily housing, one- and two-family custom residences, one- and two-family production homes, specialized housing and universal dwelling design. Projects may be located anywhere in the world but must have been designed by a U.S.-licensed architect and, if completed, completed after 1 January 2021. An AIA Architect member in good standing must be affiliated as the submitting architect. Submissions opened on 28 August 2026 and are due by 5pm ET on 3 November 2026.
